The board is one of four Helene recovery boards Council set up on August 26, 2025. It works only on tasks from Council, a Council committee or City department directors. The at-large members are Darrell Diane Burrus, Leah Ferguson, Anna Alsobrook, David Jeremy Greenson, Daniel Leroy and Rene Danielle Treece. Five members from other boards were also named. All serve until June 30, 2027.
