Program
2024 bond referendum

In plain English

Four voter-approved bond questions of $20 million each: public safety facilities, transportation (resurfacing, sidewalks, greenways), parks and recreation, and affordable housing. The City borrows against future property taxes to pay for a listed set of projects.

Where it stands

All $80M is budgeted, but the record reviewed shows no bonds sold yet. Most projects are in design. The housing bond has $16.1M allocated and $3.9M left, and the City delayed the tax increase for debt service in FY2026 because of Helene.

Next

Construction starts are scheduled from late 2026 (Malvern Hills) into 2027 (Lexington Avenue, London Road, Fire Station 9, Reed Creek). The record does not yet give a date for selling the bonds.

Last on the public record Jul 29, 2025 (15 months ago). No public update in 12+ months.
